
The National Weather Service out of Mount Holly, New Jersey issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning on July 21, taking effect at 5:13 PM EDT and set to expire at 5:30 PM EDT.
The brief but urgent alert called on people in the warned area to seek shelter immediately and remain indoors until the warning expired. Severe thunderstorms can bring dangerous lightning, damaging winds, and heavy rain in a short period of time.
Residents were advised to stay away from windows, avoid using electrical appliances, and wait for official confirmation that the threat had passed before going back outside.
