DOVER, Del. — Delaware’s Division of Public Health (DPH) has announced a second confirmed case of measles in the state.
Health officials say extensive contact tracing is currently underway to identify individuals who may have come into contact with those who tested positive for the disease.
As part of that effort, DPH says it will reach out directly to people identified as potentially exposed to determine whether they have been vaccinated against measles and to provide educational information and guidance.
Unvaccinated residents across Delaware are being encouraged to seek vaccination as soon as possible.
