The National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, New Jersey issued a Flash Flood Warning on July 21 at 6:05 PM EDT, set to remain in effect until 8:45 PM EDT the same evening.
Residents are urged to stay alert and avoid travel through areas prone to flooding. Rapidly rising water on roadways can be extremely dangerous, and even shallow water moving quickly can sweep vehicles off the road.
If you encounter a flooded road, turn around and find an alternate route. Do not attempt to drive through standing or moving water, as it is impossible to judge the depth or current strength from inside a vehicle.
