
NEWARK, Del. — The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) has announced a significant milestone for commuters traveling through the I-95 and SR 896 interchange in Newark.
On or about July 29, 2026, the southbound SR 896 on-ramps connecting to southbound I-95 are scheduled to be opened to traffic. As with many roadway projects, the opening is weather permitting.
