A man from Claymont is now facing criminal charges after police say he threatened multiple people while carrying several weapons at a local apartment complex.
On Saturday, July 18, 2026, around 10:00 in the morning, officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were called to the 700 block of Naamans Road in the Whitney Gardens Apartment community. The call came in as a report of a disorderly individual who was said to be armed with more than one weapon.
Officers were responding to the scene when additional details about the situation were relayed to them prior to their arrival.
