President Donald Trump showed up Friday evening at the rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, taking the stage for a sprawling speech that stretched on for about an hour.
The dinner had been pushed back three months following a shooting, and Friday’s event marked Trump’s return to the annual gathering. The president was joined at the event by White House Correspondents’ Association president Weijia Jiang and White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
The dinner was held at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C.
