Tropical Storm Bertha continues to push westward, tracking very close to the Louisiana coast, according to the latest update from forecasters.
As of 7:00 AM CDT on Thursday, July 23, the center of the storm was positioned near coordinates 29.5 degrees north latitude and 92.4 degrees west longitude. Bertha was moving west at a forward speed of 13 miles per hour.
The storm’s minimum central pressure was recorded at 1003 millibars, with maximum sustained winds clocking in at approximately 45 miles per hour.
Tropical storm warnings remain active along the northwestern Gulf Coast as the system continues its westward track. Residents in those warned areas are urged to stay informed and follow guidance from local emergency officials.
