WILMINGTON — Motorists traveling along Kennett Pike should plan for temporary lane restrictions this week, according to the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT).
A moving lane closure has been scheduled for tree maintenance work on Tuesday, August 4, and Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Both days of work are weather-dependent and could be postponed if conditions are unfavorable.
Crews are expected to be on the road each day between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The work zone will start just south of Kirk Road and move northward, continuing all the way to the Pennsylvania state line.
Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time or consider alternate routes during those hours.
