The Chicago White Sox activated outfielder Everson Pereira on Monday, removing him from the seven-day concussion injured list after he was sidelined earlier this month.
The 25-year-old suffered the concussion on June 17 when he collided with the outfield wall at Yankee Stadium while attempting a leaping catch.
Through 21 games this season, Pereira is hitting .232 with four doubles, three home runs, and seven runs batted in for Chicago.
In a corresponding roster move, the White Sox optioned outfielder Junior Perez, also 25, to Triple-A Charlotte.
Perez made his major league debut on June 18 and appeared in 22 games, posting a .171 batting average with three home runs and six RBIs before being sent back down to the minors.
