Delaware DOC Opens Applications for Free Fall 2026 Citizens Academy in Dover

Delaware residents curious about how the state’s correctional system works now have a chance to find out firsthand. The Delaware Department of Correction is accepting applications for its Fall 2026 Citizens Academy, a free program set to begin September 21 in Dover.

The academy runs for six weeks, with evening sessions held each Monday in Kent County. The program is open to Delaware residents and is designed to give participants a closer look at how the DOC operates from the inside.

Those interested are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible to secure a spot in the fall session.
