Good morning, Delmarva! It’s going to be a steamy and stormy Tuesday across the peninsula. Expect mostly cloudy skies with showers and thunderstorms likely to fire up after 7 this morning, so keep that umbrella handy if you’re heading out. Temperatures will climb to a warm high near 89°F with south winds between 5 and 15 mph adding to that muggy feel. Rainfall totals between a quarter and half an inch are possible, and with a 70% chance of precipitation, most of us will see some wet weather today. A few storms could produce gusty winds, so stay weather-aware throughout the afternoon.
Tonight, showers and thunderstorms continue as we drop to a low near 73°F — still a warm and humid night. Heading into Wednesday, we’re not done yet — a chance of showers and thunderstorms remains with a high near 87°F, followed by another round of storms Wednesday night before conditions gradually improve.
Stay safe and dry out there, Delmarva — I’ll have updates throughout the day!
