Two of South Korea’s leading semiconductor manufacturers have entered into sweeping memory chip supply agreements with major U.S. technology companies, totaling $950 billion combined, a South Korean presidential adviser announced Saturday.
SK Hynix agreed to supply $750 billion worth of memory chips to American companies over the long term, while Samsung Electronics committed to providing $200 billion in chips specifically to Broadcom, according to presidential adviser Kim Yong-beom, who shared the details during a briefing.
The partnerships include U.S. tech heavyweights such as Nvidia among the participating companies on the American side of the deals.
