ARLINGTON, Texas — France is making some key adjustments to their starting lineup for Tuesday’s World Cup semi-final showdown with Spain, while the Spanish side will take the field with the exact same players who got them this far.
Bradley Barcola has been brought back into France’s attacking unit, joining Ousmane Dembele, Michael Olise, and captain Kylian Mbappe up front. That move pushes Desire Doue to the bench for this crucial match.
Also returning for France is midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, who had been sidelined for the team’s previous two matches due to injury. He will line up alongside Adrien Rabiot in the middle of the park.
On the other side, Spain’s manager Luis de la Fuente made no changes to his squad. Fabian Ruiz will once again partner Rodri and Dani Olmo in midfield, with Pedri remaining among the substitutes. Up front, Alex Baena will start alongside Lamine Yamal and Mikel Oyarzabal.
Whoever advances from this match will meet either Argentina or England in the World Cup final.
