The Boston Fleet have locked up their reigning Rookie of the Year, signing defender Haley Winn to a one-year contract extension that will keep her with the team through the 2028-29 season.
The club made the announcement on Tuesday — a date that happened to fall on Winn’s 23rd birthday.
Winn had an impressive campaign in 2025-26, finishing as a finalist for PWHL Defender of the Year after posting 19 points — five goals and 14 assists — across 30 games. Selected second overall in the 2025 draft, she led the entire league in average ice time at 26 minutes and 45 seconds per game.
Beyond her club success, Winn also played a key role on the international stage. She contributed a goal and three assists in seven games as the United States claimed a gold medal at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics.
