The National Weather Service office out of Mount Holly, New Jersey has put a Flash Flood Warning into effect, running from 5:30 PM EDT until 8:45 PM EDT on July 21.
Residents are urged to stay alert and avoid any areas prone to flooding, including low-lying roads and underpasses. Rapidly rising water can be extremely dangerous, and even a small amount of moving water can sweep a vehicle off the road.
Authorities remind the public to never attempt to drive through flooded roadways. If you encounter a flooded road, turn around and find an alternate route.
