Writer E. Jean Carroll has received more than $5.6 million in damages from President Trump, three years after a jury determined he was liable for sexually abusing and defaming her.
The payment marks the conclusion of a long legal battle stemming from that jury verdict, which found Trump responsible for both the sexual abuse and the defamation of Carroll.
