A Czech military Venom helicopter carrying five soldiers crashed Thursday, killing at least one person on board, according to officials.
The crash happened around noon local time — 10:00 a.m. GMT — at an air force base in Náměšt nad Oslavou, a location roughly 180 kilometers, or about 112 miles, southeast of the capital city of Prague, the Czech military confirmed.
Regional rescue officials reported that one person did not survive the accident. Three others sustained injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
The Czech military has not yet provided additional information regarding what caused the helicopter to go down, nor have they released specifics about the conditions of the injured soldiers.
