Church of England Study: Social Media Sparks Faith Interest in Young Adults

A new study released by the Church of England reveals that younger generations — including Millennials and members of Generation Z — are often first introduced to Christianity through social media platforms and other online content.

However, the report also found that discovering faith online is rarely enough on its own. According to the study, a face-to-face or personal encounter is typically what moves a young adult to take the next step and accept Christ.

Church officials say the findings serve as a reminder that personal evangelism remains a vital part of spreading the faith, even as the internet continues to play a growing role in how people explore religion.
