Sussex County DUI Checkpoint Screens Nearly 1,000 Vehicles

Delaware’s Office of Highway Safety (OHS) has released the results of a DUI checkpoint conducted last week in Sussex County, highlighting the state’s continued push to keep impaired drivers off the road.

The checkpoint took place on Friday, July 10, 2026, with the OHS working alongside Delaware State Police and local law enforcement agencies from across the state. A total of 983 vehicles passed through the checkpoint during the operation.

The effort is part of a broader, ongoing campaign by state officials to reduce impaired driving on Delaware roads.
