Motorists traveling southbound on Route 1 should be aware of a shoulder closure currently in effect near the Middletown area.
The closure is located roughly half a mile north of Exit 136, which serves the Middletown Odessa Road, and is the result of ongoing construction work in the area.
Drivers are advised to use caution as they pass through the affected stretch of roadway. The shoulder restriction is scheduled to be lifted by 5 p.m.
No additional lane closures have been reported at this time, but motorists should remain alert and allow extra travel time if passing through the area.
