Samaritan’s Purse, one of the world’s largest Christian relief organizations, has mobilized in Venezuela to assist those who were hurt or forced from their homes by a recent earthquake.
Franklin Graham, the ministry’s president, shared the organization’s motivation with the Christian Post, saying, “These people are surrounded by so much death and destruction. We want to bring the light of Jesus Christ into these places of pain.”
Already, thousands of families have been reached with critical supplies, including tents, tarps, solar lights, blankets, jerry cans, hygiene kits, cooking sets, and Spanish-language Bibles. The organization says additional resources are being sent as relief efforts continue.
