Verizon has locked in a deal with Google valued at over $1 billion, according to company CEO Dan Schulman, who announced the agreement on Friday.
The contract centers on providing dark fiber connectivity to Google’s data centers, marking a significant partnership between the two major companies.
Schulman shared the news during Verizon’s post-earnings call, and he suggested the company isn’t stopping there. “We have other deals that we expect to announce by year end that taken together are expected to be worth multiple billions of dollars in revenue over the next several years,” he said.
