A human rights organization is raising serious alarms about the treatment of immigrants held at a detention facility on a Texas military installation.
According to a newly released report from Human Rights Watch, people detained at the immigration camp located at Fort Bliss military base in Texas were subjected to physical beatings and received medical care so inadequate that it put their lives at risk.
The report details what the organization describes as deeply troubling conditions inside the detention center, including both physical abuse and the dangerous neglect of detainees’ health needs.
