Heat Advisory in Effect for the Region Through Wednesday Evening

The National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, New Jersey has issued a Heat Advisory effective July 16, lasting until 8:00 PM EDT that same evening.

Residents in the affected area should be aware of the elevated heat risk and take steps to stay safe during the hottest parts of the day. Health officials generally recommend drinking plenty of water, avoiding strenuous outdoor activity during peak afternoon heat, and checking on elderly neighbors and family members who may be more vulnerable to heat-related illness.

The advisory was issued at 11:53 AM EDT on July 16. Those without access to air conditioning are encouraged to seek out cooling centers in their communities.
