French defense firm Exosens announced Tuesday that it plans to triple its thermal camera manufacturing capacity in 2026, citing rapidly growing demand from drone and counter-drone technology sectors. The announcement came alongside a strong financial report showing a 15.3% increase in revenue for the first half of the year and an improved full-year forecast.
The company, which specializes in night-vision equipment, now anticipates that its full-year revenue and adjusted EBITDA will land near the top of its previously stated guidance ranges — between 520 million and 540 million euros for revenue, and between 168 million and 178 million euros for adjusted EBITDA. Exosens also projects capital expenditures of roughly 9% of its 2026 revenue, fueled by efforts to expand production facilities across Europe and the United States.
For the first half of the year, the company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization climbed 18.3%, reaching 83.6 million euros.
Exosens said that demand for sophisticated imaging technology used in autonomous defense platforms is picking up speed, and that expanding its production capacity will help cement its standing in one of the defense industry’s fastest-growing segments.
CEO Jerome Cerisier highlighted the strategic importance of the move in a press release, stating: “This expansion reinforces our ability to support accelerating customer demand with scalable industrial capabilities, while strengthening our position as a trusted, ITAR-free strategic partner for leading defense OEMs and autonomous systems developers.”
