
Ezra Jin, a pastor who endured almost a year of imprisonment in China for leading an underground church, is now living in California as a free man. His release came after President Trump personally appealed to Chinese leader Xi Jinping on his behalf.
Now speaking publicly, Jin is pushing back against the Chinese Communist Party’s treatment of Christian believers. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, he argued that the government has nothing to fear from people of faith. “These Christians love their nation,” Jin said. “They only want to worship God peacefully according to the Bible and to serve others, especially the poor, the disabled and the elderly.”
