Dover Police are investigating a shooting that left a man injured inside his own home during the early morning hours of Monday, July 27, 2026.
Officers were called to the Unit Block of River Chase Drive at approximately 2:07 a.m. after reports of a shooting in the area. When investigators arrived, they determined that someone had fired multiple rounds through a window of a residence, hitting a 62-year-old man who was asleep at the time.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities say his gunshot wound is not life-threatening. Three additional people were inside the home when the shooting occurred, but none of them were hurt.
Detectives are actively working to piece together what led to the incident. No suspect information has been released at this time.
