Delaware is officially in the midst of a measles outbreak, according to the state’s Division of Public Health. Officials announced two newly confirmed measles cases, bringing the statewide total to four.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention sets the threshold for a measles outbreak at three or more cases that are linked by time and location — a mark Delaware has now surpassed.
Health officials say extensive contact tracing is currently in progress to identify anyone who may have been exposed to the virus.
