A private autopsy conducted on the body of 18-year-old Nolan Wells has failed to determine how the young man died, according to preliminary findings.
Wells was left behind on an island in Mississippi by a group of friends on July 4th. The circumstances surrounding his death have prompted his family to seek an independent examination of his remains.
The preliminary results of that independent autopsy came back inconclusive, meaning medical examiners were unable to pinpoint a definitive cause of death at this stage. Further testing or analysis may be needed before a final determination can be made.
