The Trump administration is throwing its support behind Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham after she publicly opposed allowing biological men to compete in women’s sports.
Cunningham has come under fire from LGBT advocacy groups for her backing of policies that would bar biological males from participating on female sports teams.
In a sit-down with ESPN, Cunningham explained her position directly. “I want to protect young girls in the locker room, and young girls in sport who shouldn’t have to go against biological men,” she said.
