Washington — American armed forces have concluded their 11th day in a row of military strikes against Iran, according to U.S. Central Command.
CENTCOM reported that the strikes hit a variety of Iranian military targets, including operations centers, maritime assets, aircraft hangars, facilities used to store drones, and military supply infrastructure.
The goal of the ongoing campaign, according to CENTCOM, is to “further degrade” Iran’s capability to pose a threat to commercial ships traveling through the Strait of Hormuz — one of the world’s most critical waterways for international trade.
Military officials noted that Iran has launched attacks against more than 30 commercial vessels passing through the strait.
“The unwarranted attacks have endangered hundreds of innocent mariners and undermined freedom of navigation,” CENTCOM stated.
