President Donald Trump is personally reaching out to U.S. senators, urging them to get behind legislation that would permanently lock the country into daylight saving time.
The U.S. House of Representatives passed the bill earlier this month, but the measure is running into resistance on the Senate side. Trump has taken it upon himself to call senators directly in an effort to build support for the proposal.
“Hopefully the Senate’s going to approve that one,” Trump said.
