The National Hurricane Center has released new wind speed probability graphics for Tropical Storm Bertha, giving forecasters and residents a clearer picture of where potentially dangerous winds could develop.
The updated graphic, which was last refreshed on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 9:22 PM GMT, shows the probability of 34-knot winds occurring across a wide area over the next 120 hours.
Forecasters use these probability maps to help communities understand the likelihood that tropical storm-force winds could reach their area, even if the storm’s center does not make a direct hit nearby.
Residents along the East Coast, including those on the Delmarva Peninsula, are encouraged to keep a close eye on updates from the National Hurricane Center as Tropical Storm Bertha continues to develop.
