Tropical Storm Bertha has officially come to an end as a tropical system, with forecasters announcing the storm has broken down into a broad trough of low pressure.
The National Hurricane Center issued its final advisory on Bertha late Thursday evening. At 10:00 PM CDT on July 23, the center of what remained of Bertha was positioned near 30.0 degrees north latitude and 96.0 degrees west longitude — placing the remnants over Texas.
At the time of the final advisory, the system was drifting westward at approximately 14 miles per hour. The minimum central pressure was measured at 1008 millibars, with maximum sustained winds of around 35 miles per hour.
With Bertha no longer classified as a tropical cyclone, no further advisories will be issued on this system.
