Nvidia is reportedly in discussions to provide approximately $250 billion in financial guarantees to support OpenAI as part of a large-scale data center initiative, according to a report published Sunday by The Wall Street Journal.
The financial backing from Nvidia would allow the maker of the popular ChatGPT artificial intelligence tool to lease a massive 10-gigawatt facility currently under development in southern Ohio by an energy subsidiary of SoftBank, the newspaper reported, citing sources with knowledge of the situation.
