NEWARK, Del. — The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is giving drivers a heads-up about upcoming overnight lane restrictions near Newark affecting I-95 northbound.
Beginning Thursday, August 6, and running through Friday, August 14, 2026, crews will be working on the Exit 8 off-ramp that connects to Route 202 northbound. The work is weather-dependent and will take place each night between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
The project involves warm mix asphalt patching on the off-ramp. During the work hours, drivers can expect either right or left lane restrictions on the Exit 8 off-ramp.
Motorists traveling through the area during those overnight hours are encouraged to plan for possible delays and allow extra travel time.
