A key land crossing connecting Kuwait and Iraq is back open, according to Iraq’s state news agency, which cited the nation’s border crossings authority in a Sunday announcement.
The Abdali border crossing had been shut down after a drone strike on Thursday left the facility with significant property damage. Fortunately, no one was injured in the attack, according to the Kuwaiti military.
Located in Kuwait’s northern Al-Jahra Province, the Abdali crossing serves as a vital route for both travelers and commercial freight moving between the two neighboring countries. As of now, the identity of those responsible for launching the drones remains unknown.
