Flood Watch in Effect Through Tuesday Afternoon for the Region

A Flood Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, New Jersey, starting July 28 at 12:38 PM Eastern Time and remaining in effect until July 29 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.

A Flood Watch means that conditions are favorable for flooding to develop in the watch area. Residents should remain alert, avoid low-lying areas near streams and waterways, and be ready to take action if a Flood Warning is issued.

Flooding can develop quickly, so it is important to never attempt to drive through flooded roadways. Remember the safety rule: turn around, don’t drown.

TV Delmarva will continue to monitor this situation and provide updates as conditions change. Residents are encouraged to check back for the latest weather information and heed any instructions from local emergency management officials.
