DOVER — A Delaware State University baseball player is heading to professional baseball after being selected in this year’s MLB Draft.
Redshirt sophomore right-handed pitcher Michael Lane was chosen by the Detroit Tigers with the 486th overall pick in the 16th round of the 2026 MLB Draft. The selection was made on Sunday, July 12.
