Delaware History Sites Host Free Interactive Programs All August

Delaware residents and visitors of all ages have a chance to explore the state’s rich history this August, thanks to a series of free programs being offered by the Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs (HCA).

The events are being held in connection with the state’s ongoing semiquincentennial celebrations and span all three Delaware counties, giving communities statewide a chance to participate.

One of the featured locations is John Dickinson Plantation, located at 250 Kitts Hummock Road in Dover. The site can be reached by phone at (302) 739-3277. An upcoming program there is scheduled for August 8, running from 11:00 a.m. to noon.

All programs are free to attend, making them an accessible option for families, students, and history enthusiasts looking to connect with Delaware’s past this summer.
