At least 35 people lost their lives and 30 more were injured Saturday after two passenger buses slammed into each other along the Deir al-Zor-Damascus highway in Syria, according to a health ministry official who spoke to state news agency SANA.
Authorities identified one of the buses as transporting members of the Internal Security Forces, while the other was carrying civilian passengers, SANA reported, citing information from the interior ministry.
