Health authorities in Uganda have officially declared the country free of Ebola, bringing an end to the nation’s most recent outbreak of the deadly viral hemorrhagic disease.
The announcement came on Tuesday, marking the conclusion of an outbreak that began in mid-May. During that time, 20 people were infected with the virus and two of them died as a result.
