The National Hurricane Center has issued an updated Potential Storm Surge Flooding Map for Tropical Storm Bertha, with the most recent update posted on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 3:36 a.m. GMT.
The map provides a visual representation of areas that could experience storm surge flooding as Tropical Storm Bertha continues to develop. Storm surge can be one of the most dangerous and deadly hazards associated with tropical storms and hurricanes, as rapidly rising water can inundate low-lying coastal communities with little warning.
Residents in areas that may be in the storm’s path are encouraged to review the latest storm surge flooding maps from the National Hurricane Center and follow guidance from local emergency management officials.
