Tropical Storm Bertha was pushing westward across southeastern Louisiana Wednesday afternoon, according to the latest advisory from forecasters.
As of 4:00 PM Central Daylight Time on Wednesday, July 22, the storm’s center was positioned near coordinates 29.8 degrees north latitude and 89.8 degrees west longitude, moving due west at approximately 7 miles per hour.
The storm had a minimum central pressure of 1,000 millibars and was producing maximum sustained winds of about 45 mph.
In response to the storm’s westward track, a Tropical Storm Warning was extended to cover additional areas of southwestern Louisiana.
