According to the National Hurricane Center, as of 1:00 PM Central Daylight Time on Thursday, July 23, the center of Bertha was positioned near coordinates 29.9 degrees north latitude and 93.8 degrees west longitude. The storm was moving west at approximately 10 miles per hour.
Meteorologists recorded a minimum central pressure of 1004 millibars, with maximum sustained winds reaching around 45 miles per hour at the time of the report.
Heavy rainfall is spreading across portions of the Texas coastline as the storm continues its inland track.
