Tropical Storm Bertha is continuing to make its presence known along the northern Gulf Coast, with tropical storm conditions expected to keep spreading westward through the region.
According to the National Hurricane Center, as of 10:00 PM Central Daylight Time on Tuesday, July 21, the center of Bertha was positioned near coordinates 29.4 degrees north latitude and 87.7 degrees west longitude. The storm was moving westward at a pace of approximately 6 miles per hour.
Meteorologists recorded a minimum central pressure of 995 millibars within the storm. Maximum sustained winds were clocking in at roughly 60 miles per hour, keeping Bertha at tropical storm strength.
Residents and travelers along the northern Gulf Coast should remain vigilant and follow guidance from local emergency management officials as the storm continues its westward track.
