A Newark man will spend more than a decade behind bars following a 2022 incident in which he attacked a police officer and refused to comply with arrest.
Rodney Duffy, 39, received an 11-year prison sentence on July 24, handed down by a New Castle County Superior Court judge. The sentence came after Duffy entered guilty pleas to one count of First Degree Assault, along with additional related charges stemming from the incident.
The Department of Justice announced the sentencing as part of its ongoing efforts to hold individuals accountable for violence against law enforcement.
