The amount of natural cheese sitting in refrigerated warehouses nationwide saw a modest monthly gain heading into the summer, according to the latest federal cold storage report.
As of June 30, 2026, total natural cheese stocks were up 1 percent compared to the end of May. Despite that short-term increase, supplies remain slightly tighter than they were a year ago — down 1 percent from where they stood on June 30, 2025.
The figures come from a routine government survey tracking food commodities held in cold storage facilities across the United States.
