A Texas mother is demanding answers after her 23-year-old son, Ruben Ray Martinez, was shot and killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent during a traffic stop encounter.
The fatal shooting occurred roughly two months after President Trump began his second term in office. Martinez was a U.S. citizen at the time of his death.
His mother, Rachel Reyes, has been publicly speaking out about the loss of her son, saying the family is still waiting for justice in the case. She has shared a photo of her son as she continues to push for accountability.
The circumstances of the shooting and any subsequent investigation have left the family without the resolution they say they deserve.
