Mobileye Global announced Thursday that its founder, Amnon Shashua, intends to leave his role as chief executive officer after a new leader is selected to take the helm of the autonomous driving technology company.
According to Mobileye, the company’s board of directors will engage an executive search firm to identify and recruit the next CEO. Shashua is set to continue serving on the board and has been offered the position of chairman once his successor is officially in place.
The announcement sent the company’s stock climbing 8% in premarket trading.
Mobileye also released its second-quarter financial results, reporting revenue of $508 million — surpassing analyst estimates of $481.24 million from LSEG. Shashua credited what he called “strong momentum” in the company’s core business for the solid performance, noting that Mobileye is gearing up for several advanced product launches expected in late 2026 and continuing throughout 2027.
